THE DARK KNIGHT

There have been almost two editions of “The Dark Knight” on both DVD and Blu-Ray. I’m happy to admit that they’re all warranted releases. Not only does Warner give us one of the best comic book movies ever made along turning Batman in a tragic tale of becoming a hero in situations he’s just not sure he handle. Take for instance the explosions in the hospital. What I love about the joker here is not that he has a distinct love for violence and doesn’t come with a sub-plot where we’re supposed to sympathize for his life story unlike the “Spider-Man” movies where villains couldn’t just be villains. “The Dark Knight” is a marvel of modern filmmaking with mainly traditional effects and storytelling that takes bits and pieces from “LA Confidential” to uncover a ring of corruption and savagery where everyone willing to do whatever it takes to kill the Joker. And yes, this really is Harvey’s story. Read our full review here. Trust me, It’s a work of brilliance the Nolans engineered an almost impossible to adapt a character for a more mature audience.

Nolan’s film is everything a Batman film should be with adult themes out of the twists, turns, and a villain many will continue to study for years to come. As for the 2 disc it’s the Joker’s show and this edition features and whistles we’re given the sixteen minute “Gothm Uncovered” where we get to explore the new and improved Bat suit and the Joker, of course. You know the costume where Bruce can barely turn his head. They make for great filler. There are also five or six deleted scenes. For the added bonus Theres are also a featuree of scene from some of the most tense moment of the film. Going over to “Scenes from an IMAX that don’r co much beyond re-iteration the fin with the movie.”Gotham Night” a great series th4e Batverse dealing with Batman’s violence streak and the inherent release of Harvey and chance. There’s also a series of screen capture the essence of the film.

In my list of movies this year breaking the trend, "The Dark Knight" is enigmatic enough for adults and good Batman ass kicking fun for the Dark Knight. I loved everything from the twists the tragedy and of course the one with two mugs/
