DRAFTED #8

War!

The clock has run out on the big score board placed in to the city. Why? Is this some trick to test the forces of humanity? Has this been lodged as a test from the military that recruited us? Is this some sort of training exercise? What was once thought to be a six month window filled with doubts, hopes, and a call to stop "The Untouchables" is now halted as our recruits are now yanked out of leave to spend time with their loved ones and pulled in to sudden battle as our unseen enemy has found a way to get to Earth faster and plan to do great damage to the planet and spread their seeds, but is everyone prepared for war? Why did the sentient beings miscalculate this ETA?

And what did Vic mean by the Pure Ones?

What are we not being told here?

I’m curious.

Though the cover gives the ending away in a sense, issue 8 features an all out dog fight with the human recruits now faced with diving head first in to all out war against the enemy fighting over Easter Island and attempting to bring down one of their ships that have invented a strategy they’ve never seen before. With their soldiers bruised, and their skills highly in doubt, one can only imagine the regrets.

The art by Rebekah Isaacs is absolutely immaculate with some awfully incredible interiors, beautiful creature designs, and dog fights that look quite fantastic. This is only the beginning I’m assuming, as Gabriel and co. have to face the results of their first battle on Earth and the repercussions of a split second mistake.

“Drafted” is getting tighter. And loving it.
