DAÑOS DEL AMOR

While normally that type of off the wall surrealism is entertaining, it just wasn’t as entertaining here. Because “Daños Del Amor” can never settle down long enough to tell an actual story and involve us in these people’s lives. Instead of Mia coming off as a justified ex, she becomes more of a militant she-bitch, while Michael instead of a simple man who made a mistake is more of an idiotic cheater. Kahn can never really involve us into the characters’ personalities, and just when we’re finally starting a story, Kahn continues to speed up the pace with a fight scene that ends the film. Sadly, Kahn’s film comes off pretty cheesy, especially when we delve into the theatrics that’s never as fun or funny as they should be, and I was just expecting more from the whole experience.
