Now, I've seen bad animation from all corners of the world, but this really takes the cake. Then it shits all over said cake and force-feeds it straight to you, the consumer. The movie begins by the narrator talking about the struggle against an evil empire, showing all sorts of clips and then I realize....it's the trailer. The effing trailer for the movie I'm trying to watch is at the movie's beginning. I try to calm down, it's not too bad, right? Wrong. The trailer made it look far too good. I paid very little for this and received less than that. What I did receive was a bad Voltron knock-off story, where Voltron is replaced by a Transformer. Seriously, I'm not kidding at all.
The bird's doing a great job, right? Anyway, they all go searching for it only it turns out...it's not a bird. It's a freaking Transformer. Yes, it's Inferno. I'd proceed from here in detail about what happens, but we all already know. It's Voltron. Moving on. The voice work is somewhere between awful and heinous. It literally sounds like a group of friends dubbed over some anime for fun using a computer microphone. Not a good one either, a crappy one you usually get free with a crappy computer. I've actually heard better voice acting on videos by guys dubbing over X-Men cartoons on YouTube. The animation is even worse than the acting though, as it is constantly changing in details and facial characteristics. What do I mean? Well, one scene some has normal eyes, then suddenly their eyes go stereotypical anime-like. And the mouths do the same things, only they go from normal to suddenly ape mouths. It's painful to watch.
