I'm sorry but
I just have to have respect for a man who creates a vision like "One-Day
Seminar" and performs a trick where the crew pays homage to the show in
the process. For a nineteen minute comedy short, director Binder kept me
in near stitches by scenarios that were turned catastrophic thanks to
stubbornness by main character Tommy Murray and the intense rudeness
received by him when he decides to host a seminar.

I mean I was so
uncomfortable and sliding down in my chair that I almost
expected to see Ricky Gervais and pin the final nail in the
coffin for actor Murray. I also could never understand why
we don't get enough movies about these idiotic seminars.
"Good Morning, You're Fired" sells thanks to the strong
writing by Binder and the deadpan inept motivational speaker
who can sort nickels from dimes at any point. |

Murry paints the man
with such a bravado where everything he performs is of great
importance with nineteen minutes of a man who doesn't know what he's
talking about. Which seems to be the overall conclusion to the movie:
Motivational Speaking is quackery and really enjoy what Binder and I
hope we can see him more again in the future.
In spite of feeling like an episode of "The Office" (which I think is a
compliment) Martin Binder's
comedy about self help gurus that helps no one worth great emphasis on that
one person in life who may never strop trying to help, like it or not
