PROTECTORS OF UNIVERSE

As bad as Defenders of Space was, I couldn't believe it could get worse. The joke's on me, I was so wrong. Think badly animated Transformers saving the world is bad? How about a Gundam, with Mazinger Z's head and wings, fighting the robeasts from Voltron? Oh lord, what have I stepped in this time?

At least I knew it would be bad, so at least I was prepared for it. I won't bother trying to make sense of the plot because it doesn't even take itself seriously. The same guys sitting around in a room returned to voice-over this movie as well, so it has that nice feeling of "please gouge out my ears" to it. The sounds effects are slightly less annoying than Defenders, but that's really not saying much.

The greenish blue guys are absent here, replaced by actually blue guys. Blue Man Group should sue, most definitely. Furthermore, most of the men essentially look like... G.I. Joes. Really, they appear as if they're from the show. It's freaking weird. This was so bad, I can't correctly describe how bad it was. Oh wait, yes I can. After watching half an hour of it, I actually felt ill. That's right, I'm saying this movie caused me to feel sick to my stomach. I couldn't take it anymore.

This piece of excrement stole time from my life and I'm quite tempted to complain to Wal-Mart for selling it to me. It's like eating at a restaurant that used to be good (Voltron) then coming back years later only to find this other place there who claim to sell the same food. So you go in, you order and you eat. My point? The food tastes awful, you nearly choke because of the taste that hits you. So you're pissed off and quite frankly, so am I.

Kim Jon-il has long wanted a weapon to enforce fear. If only we'd known it'd reveal itself as a crappy low budget anime. Do yourself a favor and spend your dollar on a candy bar.
