Avi:
Should I call you Bullet? Tooth?
Bullet Tooth Tony:
You can call me Susan if it makes you happy.
I knew from the beginning of
the movie that this was going to be real good. Guy Ritchie is a really good director, who
switches, and cut to each scenario flawlessly at a time. He never misses a beat in this.
Though, only minor stars in England, the most powerful characters are in fact, Benicio Del
Toro and Brad Pitt. "Snatch" was made on a shoestring budget, but Pitt and Del
Toro played
roles in the movie anyways. Good choices. Brad Pitt is excellent as the gypsy "Pikey" bare
knuckle boxer dealing with the mafia. He's surprisingly great in this. The flair and
onscreen presence he provides, gives this movie a lot to stand on. Benicio Del Toro is also
very excellent in his role, even if he only has a screen time of fifteen minutes. To me,
he is the most memorable character in this ensemble cast of American and British actors.
The acting is great by all, the scenes are all very memorable, throwing a lot of great
comedy and violence. "Snatch" is a must-see for any guy, or Tarantino fan.
Though the movie is great, all the plots and situations
seemed too forced to the point where Ritchie tries to be Tarantino. I never sensed this
was his own style, yet felt it was made by Tarantino instead. I would've liked to have
seen a lot more of Del Toro's character in this movie. I felt his character
didn't fly off the ground too much.
An excellent thriller for the guys with
incredible and odd situations, excellent characters, and great direction.
