Part two of the Adam West Batman series is probably my favorite installment so far, as it includes the famed crossover between The Green Hornet and Kato with the Caped Crusader. I always considered Green Hornet to be the superior series, so it\u2019s a blast watching the pair of superheroes team up to stop what is a considerably lame villain. Granted, I would have loved to see them tackle the Joker, but beggars can\u2019t be choosy.<\/p>\n

For season two, part two, we watch as an evil stamp counterfeiter completely sets up Batman and Robin to take the fall for their evil operation. This prompts Green Hornet and Kato to enter in to Gotham, convinced the duo are criminals. The pair of heroes appear in full regalia with Bruce Lee and Van Williams reprising their roles, and it\u2019s a sick crossover. No way would Robin be able to beat Kato in a match, but it\u2019s fun watching the pairs go against one another before realizing they\u2019re on the same side. That said, season two part two is a good installment for fans. I was really excited to own the Green Hornet team up once again, but I was able to enjoy the rest of the set as well.<\/p>\n

In a great two parter, Batman and Robin go up against the Sandman, as played by Michael Rennie, and Julie Newmar\u2019s Catwoman. When Batman is rendered unconscious, Robin is forced to endure a deadly maze by the Catwoman. If you can believe it, Batman cracks the case but not before taking the Gotham subway and walking home. No seriously, he does that. Another episode catches the Joker and Penguin committing crimes based around the Zodiac and the duo\u2019s rush to stop them before they pull off all eleven. I really loved the moment where Batman and Robin foil an attempted kidnapping while an opera singer belts out a song with the fight going on behind him.<\/p>\n

Surely, I mock the series, but \u201cBatman\u201d really is a lot of fun and garners some considerable nostalgic value for fans like me that grew up on the episodes. In the set Batman and Robin go up against King Tut, Mr. Freeze, The Joker, Penguin, Catwoman and the Mad Hatter, all the while trying to keep from dying at the end of every installment. It\u2019s a thrill to see the episodes in their full uncut form, promising \u201cSame Bat Time! Same Bat Channel!\u201d The DVD comes with no extras, but that\u2019s more than made up for by the quality of each episode presented. And Bruce Lee nearly runs away with the set. Just saying.<\/p>\n
