From directing, writing, acting, graphic art, modeling, etc. The month represents the impact women have made in the horror world. In honor of the month, I thought I\u2019d list ten of my favorite modern horror actresses that are currently making waves in horror film and horror television. This list pays tribute to ten talented, savvy, charismatic, and beautiful actresses that have chilled, riveted, and made an impact in the genre.

\"\"<\/a>10. Lauren Cohan
\n<\/strong>Cohan has risen up to be one of the most prominent and entertaining actresses in the horror genre. She made her bang up debut as the British thief Bella Talbot in \u201cSupernatural,\u201d and followed that up portraying fan favorite character Maggie Greene in the Television adaptation of the hit comic book series \u201cThe Walking Dead.\u201d She\u2019s worked on the hit series for six years to much acclaim, and has also found time to star in other horror fare like the horror drama\u201cThe Vampire Diaries,\u201d and \u201cThe Boy\u201d in 2016.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>Bowden mad her debut in the acclaimed NBC sitcom \u201c30 Rock\u201d and since drifting from the role has branched in to horror films, starring in various titles that have garnered huge fan bases and acclaim. She co-starred in the hilarious horror comedy \u201cTucker and Dale vs. Evil,\u201d the Asylum Supernatural Thriller \u201cHold Your Breath,\u201d \u201cScary Movie 5,\u201d \u201cNurse 3D,\u201d and the horror comedy \u201cPiranha 3DD\u201d where she got to utter the memorable one-liner: \u201cJosh cut off his penis because something came out of my vagina.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>Breslin has managed to come in to her own as a superb child actress in fare like the horror drama \u201cSigns,\u201d and the Oscar winning drama \u201cLittle Miss Sunshine.\u201d Since blossoming in to a very strong adult actress, she\u2019s gone on to appear in a variety of films co-starring with folks like Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep. She\u2019s favored horror, though, with memorable turns in the horror comedy \u201cZombieland,\u201d the supernatural thriller \u201cHaunter,\u201d the kidnapping thriller \u201cThe Call,\u201d \u201cPerfect Sisters,\u201d \u201cMaggie,\u201d \u201cFear, Inc.,\u201d and she even went on to co-star in the much talked about slasher TV series \u201cScream Queens.\u201d<\/p>\n

She played the lead role in Adam Wingard\u2019s horror thriller \u201cThe Guest\u201d and stunned in David Robert Mitchell\u2019s brilliant \u201cIt Follows.\u201d Monroe is a charming and often very passionate actress who can pull off a variety of believable performances in most of the dramas she\u2019s been featured in. She even served as one of the few glimmering highlights in \u201cIndependence Day: Resurgence.\u201d<\/p>\n
