Gustavo Cooper.\u00a0 The cast is strong here and plays their characters as straight forward as possible while the supernatural elements make themselves known.\u00a0 It\u2019s creepy, it\u2019s uncomfortable, and it achieves its goals to unsettle the audience by the end of its 7 minutes runtime.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/worm.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-26035\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/worm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/worm.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/worm-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/worm-2x1.jpg 2w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><strong>Worm (USA) (2016)<br \/>\n<\/strong>A middle-aged single woman finds herself obsessed with her neighbor.\u00a0 When they finally meet, love is in the air, along with something else.\u00a0 As they get closer, she still knows nothing of his biggest secret.\u00a0 Once this is revealed, it will leave some of the audience in shock along with his lady, until the next surprising thing before the ending.\u00a0 Worm is a short by Ilya Polyakov that takes deep dark secrets and exposes them in new, sometimes gross, ways.\u00a0 The cast here plays along and creates a mystery until the big reveal which works beautifully well.\u00a0 It\u2019s gross, it\u2019s creepy and mysterious, and it should surprise a few.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/plague.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-26036\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/plague.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/plague.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/plague-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/plague-2x1.jpg 2w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><strong>The Plague (La peste) (Uruguay) (2017)<br \/>\n<\/strong>An old man returns to his home that is now his daughter\u2019s, escaping his nursing home with a great secret.\u00a0 This secret may very well be something that will bring trouble.\u00a0 Written and directed by Guillermo Carbonell, this short looks to be set in the 1970s from the costumes and cars.\u00a0 It\u2019s a fun and violent watch that leaves the viewer with a few unanswered questions by the time its credits roll.\u00a0 That being said, it\u2019s entertaining and fun with a touch of creepiness to add to its horror content.\u00a0 It has a few surprises in store, so the less known, the better.\u00a0 That being said, the cast is strong and the ambiance thick with wonder and a touch of dread.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/inthedark.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-26037\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/inthedark.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/inthedark.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/inthedark-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/inthedark-2x1.jpg 2w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><strong>In the Dark, Dark Woods (USA) (2017)<br \/>\n<\/strong>An invisible woman with a dark, dark soul lives in the dark, dark woods.\u00a0 To help with her loneliness, she tricks a man and causes her own downfall.\u00a0 Written by Aline Bognacki and Jason Bognacki with the latter directing, In the Dark, Dark Woods is a powerfully atmospheric short film filled to the bring with dread and an air of supernatural.\u00a0 The cast is strong with great narration by a young girl telling this tell as a dark fairy tale.\u00a0 The film has some gross and effective effects and looks absolutely stunning bathe in diffuse light and fog.\u00a0 It\u2019s one of those short that sticks with the viewer and makes them wish it were just a bit long, but not too long as to kill the mood created.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Fantasia International Film
