I wish \u201cShadow\u201d had a longer time to dwell on the ideas it presents, as well as the event that goes unnoticed more times than not. Revell Carpenter is excellent as a young girl named Jane who is struggling with her feelings while in college.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>As Jane she begins forming feelings for her tutor Allen, and seeks to elicit some signals that could perhaps grant them a relationship. But he\u2019s not completely responsive to her and is also quite conflicted about dating her. The dynamic is thrown in to turmoil when Allen\u2019s friend Will finds himself attracted to her and looks for an excuse to seek her out. Even with a girlfriend, Will wants to find a way to Jane\u2019s corner and prey on her vulnerabilities. \u201cShadow\u201d is a great culmination of good intentions gone bad, and how college can often be filled with predators preying on the vulnerable.<\/p>\n<p>Jane definitely looks for some form of validation and this comes crashing down on her in the finale when becomes a victim of a horrendous event. What\u2019s worse is that the fallout of said event promises that her life in her school is only going to get worse, and perhaps descend in to violence. The revelation of the event, paired with the ace editing allows for a wonderful climax, and while \u201cShadow\u201d is a depressing unfolding of events, it\u2019s a stellar drama.
