\"\"<\/a>I\u2019m not sure whose brain child Kibosh was, but I\u2019m not so sure we needed a villain for Casper. So apparently, there are ghosts, there are friendly ghosts, and there are\u2014uh\u2014bad ghosts? Or super ghosts? In either case, the Casper franchise continues its downward slump in the awfully mediocre \u201cCasper\u2019s Scare School.\u201d This time around Casper best friends with a lonely boy named Jimmy. Jimmy has a big soccer game and Casper is helping him become a great athlete. But after getting scared by Jimmy, Casper\u2019s embarrassment is discovered all over the ghost realm.<\/p>\n

How was this recorded? Who recorded it? Who knows? Are all paranormal beings\u2019 activities recorded? Again, by who or what? And for what purpose? Why is Casper being tested? In either case, the King of the Ghosts (I don\u2019t know, just go with it) Kibosh, tells Casper that he has to go to Scare School, or else he will be condemned to \u201cThe Valley of Shadows\u201d a place of great suffering. I guess it\u2019s ghost hell? In either case, Casper meets a whole slew of new monster misfits including a girl named Ra, a female mummy, and a vampire bully named Thatch.<\/p>\n

With Casper trying to make it back home and finish Scare School, Kibosh has to confront villains Alder and Dash when they seek to take over the Ghost Realm. For such a great cast of voices, \u201cCasper\u2019s Scare School\u201d is surprisingly low budget. The animation looks like it was produced on some free animation software from 1998, all the while all the cash went to casting folks like Christy Carlson Romano, James Belushi, and Bob Saget. \u201cCasper\u2019s Scare School\u201d is painfully mediocre and doesn\u2019t open up Casper\u2019s world, so much as pile on a lot of goofy nonsense for the sake of chugging this series that\u2019s on obvious life support. I give them credit for at least trying, but \u201cCasper\u2019s Scare School\u201d is only mildly passable, and stumbles along for barely eighty minutes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
