\n<\/strong>The new Double Feature Blu-Ray features a pair of comedies for folks that love the period, and the era of free spirited goofy comedy. 1969\u2019s \u201cAge of Consent\u201d is an erotic comedy involving an aging artist who finds love and passion with a young vivacious girl named Cora Ryan, who poses for his art. Also from 1969, \u201cCactus Flower\u201d involves a dentist who hires his love starved nurse to play his wife, in an effort to split from his girlfriend, and the plan devolves in to some comedic circumstances and twists. Both movies feature stars like James Mason, Walter Matthau, Vito Scotti, Ingrid Bergman, Helen Mirren, and Goldie Hawn, who makes her feature film debut.<\/p>\n

Die! My Darling!\u201d is a slow thriller about who imprisons her son\u2019s ex-girlfriend when she visits her home, after she blames her for his death. \"\"<\/a>Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood: It’s a Beautiful Day Collection<\/a> (PBS Distribution)
\n<\/strong>Celebrating its 50th<\/sup> Anniversary this year, PBS Distribution releases a four disc edition of \u201cMister Rogers Neighborhood.\u201d Clocking in at fourteen hours, the new edition spans from 1979 to 2001 and features thirty two uncut episodes of the iconic children\u2019s series. Folks that grew up with Mister Rogers might just find something new to mine from the material, and will even have a great time sharing the lessons learned by Mister Rogers with their own children.<\/p>\n

I grew up as one of Mister Rogers\u2019 many young neighbors, and it\u2019s a thrill to revisit him, and sing along to one of the greatest opening children show themes of all time, and classic songs like \u201cIt\u2019s Such a Good Feeling\u201d and \u201cIt\u2019s You I Like.\u201d The DVD features a bonus episode from 1969, because what\u2019s better than more Mister Rogers?<\/p>\n

Mister Rogers: It’s You I Like<\/a> (PBS Distribution)
\n<\/strong>With the release of the wonderful documentary \u201cWon\u2019t You Be My Neighbor?\u201d PBS releases a great companion documentary called \u201cIt\u2019s You I Like.\u201d This TV documentary hosted by Michael Keaton features a ton of testimonials from fans and celebrity fans alike, all of whom recount their own memories of the show and what Mister Rogers meant to them. Among the guests that speak are Whoopi Goldberg, Chris Kratt, John Lithgow, Yo-Yo Ma and his son, Itzhak Perlman, Sarah Silverman, Esperanza Spalding, and Caroll Spinney, who is known for playing Big Bird. It\u2019s always fun and touching to see how many people Mister Rogers affected and continues to affect after his death in 2003. If you loved the feature documentary, you\u2019ll love this more abbreviated tribute that is about as sweet, and simple as Mister Rogers was.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pretty Dead: 10 Horror Films<\/a> (Mill Creek Entertainment)
\n<\/strong>The two disc collection features ten indie horror films for the experimental horror buff featuring Joe Estevez. Among them, there\u2019s the slasher \u201cBunnyman,\u201d the supernatural thriller \u201cThe Lake on Clinton Road,\u201d the supernatural \u201cThe Light,\u201d psychological thriller\/zombie movie \u201cPretty Dead,\u201d the supernatural meta horror \u201cMonster in the Woods,\u201d the horror thriller \u201cThe Sacred,\u201d the slasher mystery \u201cBackwater,\u201d the survival thriller \u201cPelt,\u201d the summer camp horror slasher \u201cSparrow,\u201d and finally the psychological thriller set in the backwoods titled \u201cOccupied.\u201d<\/p>\n

Upon the behest of the mystical keeper of the weapon, Orin becomes the savior of his people, rescuing them from alien overlords. \u201cStarchaser\u201d is an okay film worth watching if only for the immense (obvious) influences by \u201cStar Wars,\u201d and the fantastic animation. If you love movies about the hero\u2019s journey,<\/p>\n

\u201cStarchaser\u201d is right up your alley. The new \u201cStarchaser\u201d release gets a Blu-Ray treatment with sharper picture, and a collector\u2019s Lenticular cover. While there are no extras, not even a trailer, you get a snazzy DVD copy to go along with the release.<\/p>\n

Super Schlock! : The Weird, Wild Superheroes of the 90’s<\/a>
\n<\/strong>What would a Gift Guide be without a self-plug? Written by Felix Vasquez Jr., \u201cSuper Schlock!\u201d takes a look at the lesser known superhero movies and TV Shows of the 1990\u2019s before superhero movies stormed the world in the mid-aughts. Read all about properties like \u201cMANTIS,\u201d \u201cNick Fury: Agent of SHIELD,\u201d and \u201cGuyver.\u201d It\u2019s a brisk but entertaining read if you\u2019ve yet to canvas the more obscure superhero films of the sub-genre.<\/p>\n

After their parents go off for the day to help their grandmother, siblings Stan, Katie, Rosie, Max, their baby brother, and Rufus the Dog decide to spend their time going on an adventure. Looking for bears, they go on a hunt, and en up getting separated. While there, they travail snowstorms, mud, and dark forests, including Rosie and Rufus who get more than they bargained for. Sweet, subtle, and simple, this animated special is a lot of fun and might inspire the kids to go on their own adventure. The DVD features four small making of segments.<\/p>\n

William Castle Film Collection – 5 Movie Pack<\/a> (Mill Creek Entertainment)
