The festival is famous for featuring some of the most acclaimed and highly anticipated genre films from around the world, and this year is featuring 130 films in its slate. Starring \u201cThe Mayans\u201d Sarah Bolger, who was previously seen in the horror genre as the psychotic babysitter in \u201cEmelie,\u201d she stars as a mother doing anything to protect her children in a search to find her husband\u2019s murder. Directed by Abner Pastoll of \u201cRoad Games,\u201d will likely pack in some great revenge beats, startling violence, and another stunning turn by Bolger.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/the-lodge.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-31500 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/the-lodge.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"384\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/the-lodge.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/the-lodge-300x180.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/the-lodge-2x1.jpg 2w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><strong>The Lodge<br \/>\n<\/strong>An official Selection of Sundance 2019, Karlovy Vary 2019, and the Overlook Film Festival 2019, \u201cThe Lodge\u201d has been one of the most anticipated horror films of 2019. Directed by Veronika Franz of \u201cGoodnight Mommy,\u201d the film stars Riley Keough, Richard Armitage, and Alicia Silverstone as a family snowed in their cabin that begins experiencing horrifying circumstances. The less we know about it the better, but at this point all signs have indicated that \u201cThe Lodge\u201d is going to be a genuine chiller that will be buzzed about by horror fans for years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/ReadyorNot.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-31501 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/ReadyorNot.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"260\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/ReadyorNot.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/ReadyorNot-300x122.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/ReadyorNot-2x1.jpg 2w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><strong>Ready Or Not<br \/>\n<\/strong>Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin (V\/H\/S) and Tyler Gillett (DEVIL&#8217;S DUE), \u201cReady or Not\u201d looks like a fun, balls to the wall dark comedy with shades of \u201cThe Most Dangerous Game\u201d and \u201cClue.\u201d With break out genre star Samara Weaving headlining, she plays a young bride who is accepted in to a wealthy clan and becomes the target of a very gore soaked game of hide and seek. With an excellent cast (Adam Brody, Henry Czerny, Andie MacDowell), \u201cReady or Not\u201d looks like a great spin with a dark premise that promises to be a classic. It will be screened specially from Fox Searchlight Pictures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Stare.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-31503 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Stare.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"630\" height=\"259\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Stare.jpg 630w, https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Stare-300x123.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Stare-2x1.jpg 2w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/a><strong>Stare<br \/>\n<\/strong>In the tradition of \u201cPulse\u201d and \u201cRingu,\u201d director, screenwriter, and author Hirotaka Adachi\u2019s \u201cStare\u201d promises to be a spooky, and chilling new ghost tale. \u201cStare\u201d is set as a murder mystery where victims begin appearing at a shocking rate. They\u2019ve apparently died from heart attacks that were brought on by extreme fear. Even worse their eyes have literally exploded from out of their heads. What I\u2019m sure will be filled with memorable terrors and some great Eastern horror, \u201cStare\u201d has its world premiere at \u201cFantasia\u201d and introduces new, potentially iconic horror villain Shirai-san, a menacing entity that might give Sadako and Kayako a run for their money.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Vivarium.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-31504 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Vivarium.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Vivarium.jpeg 600w, https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Vivarium-300x125.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.cinema-crazed.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Vivarium-2x1.jpeg 2w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><strong>Vivarium<br \/>\n<\/strong>\u201cVivarium\u201d looks like the ultimate domestic nightmare film that views a world that\u2019s perfection at first glance, but an absolute bit of terror for the hapless couple involved. Following an acclaimed launch in Critics Week at Cannes, Irish filmmaker Lorcan Finnegan\u2019s \u201cVivarium\u201d will be making its North American debut at Fantasia 2019. Imogen Poots and Jesse Eisenberg are a young couple seeking a house a picturesque neighborhood. There they find out that not everything is as it seems and they may have to fight to escape their lush suburbia.
