Valdez takes charge of the film successfully, portraying an interesting and symbolic character that is looking for some kind of break in the bad luck and gets some in small bouts of kindness and humanity around her. The main attraction of “Bienvenida” though is the beauty of Mexico and director Sánchez really does paint the picture of a city that can offer something in the realm of good fortune and kindness for people that seek it and look hard enough. Despite its flaws, it’s a charming short drama and one I suggest.

You can watch “Bienvenida” on GoIndieTV; it’s also available for viewing on Roku in the USA, England and Canada, the IPAD, Kindle, Smart phones and Smart TV sets.

Even in Mexico, opportunities are always there if you look hard enough.
