To start, please introduce yourself: <\/strong>
\nHi, my name is Sarah Schultz aka Jessica Stabbit!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What is horror to you, and what makes a work of art one in the horror genre?
\n<\/strong>Horror is a lifestyle. It’s a community that comes together to support each other whether it’s small business, indie film or mainstream film. A work of art in the horror genre typically features elements designed to evoke fear and unease. Successful art engages viewers emotionally and leaves a lasting impact.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What made you want to work in horror? <\/strong>
\nAfter attending my first horror convention in 2016, Mad Monster Arizona, I became fascinated with the genre. The celebrities in the horror community are great. I met lifelong friends, was asked to be in two different films after meeting fellow horror heads at the con which helped get my career off the ground more, and my alias Jessica Stabbit was born. So many amazing things have come from horror in my book.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Where do you get your inspiration?
\n<\/strong>I worked with Scout Compton years ago on a photo shoot in Arizona. She’s a major inspiration to me from her acting skills and genuine personality. Devanny Pinn, Jennifer Nangle, my husband Josh Schultz, Rob and Sheri Zombie, Danielle Harris! The list can go on and on. Everything they touch is gold.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What would you like your legacy to be in the genre (or elsewhere)?
\n<\/strong>I would like my legacy to be known as someone who achieved her dreams no matter how many times people said it was too hard and won’t happen. \u2764\ufe0f I want to also be remembered for my loud voice for animals and their well-being.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What is Women in Horror Month to you and why is it still important this many years later?
\n<\/strong>Women in Horror month is important to me because the first time I was asked to be a part of a WIHM interview years ago I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t believe that someone wanted to interview me. I felt like I did the impossible. The women who are involved in the horror industry whether it’s mainstream movies or independent are amazing individuals and I’m so lucky to be a piece of that puzzle.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Who are some of the Women in Horror who you look up to and who do you want to bring attention to in your field or others?
\n<\/strong>Scout Compton, Danielle Harris, Sheri Zombie, Devanny Pinn, Eileen Dietz, Jenn Nangle, the list goes on!\u00a0<\/span>Devanny is doing great things right now and Jenn is killing the game! Candice De Omme is rocking it too!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What are you currently working on that you can tell us about?
\n<\/strong>An episode of Scary Stories: My night with a Skinwalker, can be seen on the streaming service Mosaic shot by Overnight Pictures. I share mine and my husband’s paranormal experiences at The Villisca Axe Murder House in Iowa. I wrote a short story in the horror charity anthology, A Night of Misfit Stories. It’s available to purchase on Amazon and all proceeds go towards Unbridled Pathways.
