To start, please introduce yourself: <\/strong>
\nHello, my name is Kristina Louise, but most people know me as Kricket Weezil. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What is horror to you, what makes a work of art one in the horror genre? <\/strong>
\nHorror to me is a way for people to confront their darkest thoughts and emotions by living vicariously through a deeper evil on the screen. And you don\u2019t have to leave your couch. But what makes a really good horror film, besides performances, is making it unpredictable. Don\u2019t let your audience be able to figure it out. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What made you want to work in horror? <\/strong>
\nMy Mother introduced me to horror. I remember watching Stephen King\u2019s Cat\u2019s Eye with her when I was really young. My sister had a sleep over one day and our parents rented us the Faces of Death series to keep us entertained. I fell in love with horror and gore from there. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Where do you get your inspiration?
\n<\/strong>I love to do fx makeup. I try to make my work look as realistic as possible. I pull my inspiration somewhere out of my brain based on things I\u2019d want to see as a fan of horror. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What would you like your legacy to be in the genre (or elsewhere)?<\/strong>
\nReally just to do something I can be proud of. I\u2019ve always wanted to be a part of the horror industry in some way. To get my creativity flowing and learn from as many people as I can. I want people to remember what I\u2019ve accomplished. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What is Women in Horror Month to you and why is it still important this many years later? <\/strong>
\nI think it\u2019s a wonderful way to honor women in this industry. As more than just victims. It\u2019s important that more women break into this field to show off their talents. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Who are some of the Women in Horror who you look up to and who do you want to bring attention to in your field or others?<\/strong>
\nThere are so many greats like Jamie Lee Curtis and Lin Shaye who are icons, but I always look forward to performances by Madeleine Brewer who nailed her role in Hemlock Grove and Eva Green who was brilliant in Penny Dreadful. My most favorite actress is Kathy Bates who can play so many different types of characters. Versatility wins my heart every time. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What are you currently working on that you can tell us about? <\/strong>
\nWell, we are finally putting the finishing touches on The Dead Place by Michael Pickle so be watching for that. I play a demon and a ghost and filmed a lot of the behind-the-scenes footage as well. Next, I\u2019ll be playing a feral zombie in Jason Horton\u2019s A Hard Place. Thank you for taking the time to this, we greatly appreciate it. It has been my pleasure.
