Normally, we’d bring you a bunch of random shorts all under one theme and from a variety of filmmakers and producer. This week, I’m bringing you a fantastic group of short films about superheroes because well, it’s San Diego Comic Con and everyone has heroes on the brain.
That being said, this week’s batch is from one group, Productions Spectrum, a charitable organization that brings forward the talent of those on the autism spectrum. They started off as a summer camp where goers learned to make films. These films were eventually showcased at Fantasia International Film Festival which we covered in 2017. The quality here is usually fairly good and one has to understand that these films are made by amateurs who are learning while shooting, putting their creativity out there for all to see an enjoy.
As we were looking for a worthy batch of superhero-themed shorts, Eric Bent at Spectrum sent a link to their Spectrum Cinematic Universe or SCU. These shorts are great and all have so much to offer, so check them out why won’t you! Click on the magic link here!
Look for more Productions Spectrum coverage from their screening at Fantasia this weekend! And don’t forget to visit them here and follow their social medias for more short films with lots of imagination.
