It’s that time of year again! No, not festival season, well, ok, yeah, it’s festival season, but also Halloween is coming and we better all be getting ready. This also means that the year’s best party is coming up and as it’s for a good cause, I figured I’d bring it up here!
So, what’s this party you ask? It’s Halloween Hotness in its 8th year. This year, the theme is Defying Gravity all about the magic of musicals. Last year, party took place at Madame Tussaud’s on Hollywood Boulevard on October 17th and this year the event will be returning to Madame Tussaud’s as it was a hit in 2021. This year’s party will be on Saturday October 29th at 7pm. As with last year, the event will include live entertainment, auctions, costume contest, a red carpet, and so much more.
The event is a charity one benefitting St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, a foundation that makes sure children can have the medical care they need while their parents see no bill. St. Jude’s covers treatment, travel, housing, and even food for their recipient families.
Now, why is this on the site as it’s not a film review or an interview. Well, it’s a celebrity event that includes guests like Barbara Crampton, Cynthia Rothrock, and Devanny Pinn and will honor the one and only Doug Jones with a career achievement award. It’s also an even that I attend and help with as much as I can as I do strongly believe that St. Jude’s is doing great work and needs to be supported.
Also, anyone can participate by either buying a ticket and coming to the party, donating money, buying space on the step-and-repeat that will be the background for the red carpet photos, and even buy space on the jumbotron outside of Madame Tussaud’s (on Hollywood Boulevard, in one of the more frequented sections of it) for the night.
