Nightmare Kristy in her own words:
To start, please introduce yourself:
I am Kristy Adams, aka Nightmare Kristy, co-owner of Nightmare Toys in Las Vegas.
What is horror to you, what makes a work of art one in the horror genre?
Horror movies are an expression, feelings, and my comfort zone for entertainment.
What made you want to work in horror?
My love of horror movies and I’m a serious collector.
Where do you get your inspiration?
As a female, my inspiration has always come from Elvira.
What would you like your legacy to be in the genre (or elsewhere)?
I would like to be known as the first female horror collectible store owner that helped change the collectible business.
What is Women in Horror Month to you and why is it still important this many years later?
To me, I hope to inspire other females to become business owners in a predominantly male business.
Who are some of the Women in Horror who you look up to and who do you want to bring attention to in your field or others?
Elvira, Barbara Crampton, Danielle Harris
What are you currently working on that you can tell us about?
