Lionheart [1990] [MVD Rewind 4k UHD & Blu-ray]
A Legionnaire goes AWOL to raise money for his brother’s widow in the JCVD vehicle Lionheart, directed by Sheldon Lettich. The 1990 film receives a 4k upgrade to MVD’s previous Blu-ray.
Someone’s Daughter (2026) [Fantasia 2026]
A woman is being brought somewhere against her will. Soon she realizes it’s an island and a former client she defended in a case is also there. As their kidnapper left them there to possibly die, they team up to try and find a way out. Soon, truths about both of them come out.
When You Open the Door (2026) [Fantasia 2026]
Following a wolf bite, a woman is pulled to a woodland ritual led by an all-women group before going back to her life and the ramifications of it all.

As it is the 30th Anniversary of Fantasia, we (well, I on behalf of the team and site) will reshare reviews we’ve done for the fest including those done during the fest and those done for films that have played at the fest that we reviewed at other times to give an idea of the scope of Fantasia and how important it is for the film industry as a whole.

A man undergoes a metal transformation during a revenge quest in the third Tetsuo film, The Bullet Man. The over-the-top, wild ride from Shin’ya Tsukamoto, the same madman who brought the previous two. Now on Blu-ray from Unearthed Films.
Bowels of Hell [2026] [Fantasia 2026]
A woman’s unresolved trauma leads to personal issues and murderous plumbing in Gurcius Gewdner & Gustavo Vinagre’s uneven horror-comedy-drama Bowels of Hell. Presented as part of the Fantasia Film Festival.
