FRIDAY, OCTOBER 13: STRIKE FEAR! Stand in solidarity with striking SAG-AFTRA union members at a Double Feature of riotous low-budget horror-comedies about screenwriters. Screamplay exposes the cutthroat underbelly of Hollywood in a black-and-white dreamscape evoking German expressionism and film noir, and underseen anthology Terror Eyes sees a lowly office worker nudged by the devil to write her first screenplay, reminiscent of EC Comics and The Twilight Zone. This opening night Double Feature is offered at a special price of $12, and 20% of all net ticket profits will be donated to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14: WEIRD SISTERS! Believe in the power of magic as we conjure authentic depictions of witchcraft in a Triple Feature of spellbinding brews. The City of the Dead (aka Horror Hotel), will chill you to the bone in its harrowing journey through a fog-shrouded village ruled by witches. The Witches Mountain is a cursed production never released in its native country due to involvement of practicing witches. Burn, Witch, Burn (aka Night of the Eagle) is a stark account of dueling witches distinguished by faithful depictions of black magic rituals. The evening will include a conversation with Evelyn Spear, specialist in the occult.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 15: 3 DON’TS TO DO! Kick over the warning placards and cross the line for a Triple Feature of “video nasties” the authorities didn’t want you to see! Go on a short-shorts camping trip and meet a bloodthirsty berserker in Don’t Go in the Woods—happy entrails to you! Solve the mystery of the walking dead and embrace your doom in Don’t Open the Window (aka Let Sleeping Corpses Lie and Living Dead at Manchester Morgue)! Knock on the door and a flamethrowing maniac will answer in Don’t Go in the House! All three screenings will open with brand new animated ad galleries created by Bill Van Ryn of Drive-In Asylum.
