Whether we like it or not, summer is right around the corner, and Mill Creek Entertainment is helping movie lover ring in the season with a marathon of ten great beach and summer movies. Well, great is a broad term, as most of these movies are goofy eighties nonsense and action schlock you can enjoy with some beers and nachos. At fifteen hours, this collection is compiled in to three DVD’s and packs in some new titles along with Mill Creek’s more prominent comedy titles.
Featured in the collection is “Hard Bodies,” a fun goofy comedy about a beach bum trying to help a group of guys get laid. There’s “Private Resort,” starring a very young Johnny Depp and Ron Morrow as a pair of friends wreaking havoc at a private hotel during the summer. “Spring Break” centers on a pair of college students who learn the finer points of seducing women by some experienced men. “Lovelines” is a war of the bands musical comedy centering on two rock bands waging a war of pranks against one another before the upcoming competition to decide them all!
“Hard Ticket to Hawaii” is a classic Andy Sidaris boobs and machine guns action film, centered on two busty machine gun toting warriors doing battle with drug dealers and evading an evil snake. “Savage Beach” is another Andy Sidaris action epic involving two busty government agents forced to land on a beach who end up doing battle with gangsters and drug lords. “Return to Savage Beach” stars the gorgeous Julie Strain as a sexy agent of L.E.T.H.A.L, who, along with other busty babes, stands in the way of a group of criminals looking for a hidden treasure that could help fund their endeavors.
“The Beach Girls” is a classic coming of age comedy about a young geeky girl who, while on summer vacation, turns in to a femme fatale. “Malibu High” stars Jill Lansing as a high school senior who gets in over her head when she’s involved with sex and crime. Finally, there’s “Malibu Beach” where a group of kids on vacation in the Malibu Shore experience summer time hijinks, romance, and fun, especially when a beach bum and body builder go competing for the attention of a sexy new lifeguard. The movies are all uncut and garner no special features.
