Steven Soderbergh directs an all-star cast in this stylish and dazzling remake of the “Rat Pack” cult fav. In the movie, George Clooney takes over for Frank Sinatra and plays Daniel Ocean, an ex-con who just got out of the slammer; he reunites with his old friend Rusty, a card shark. Now, they attempting a huge casino robbery at the risk of being busted by Casino mob boss/guru Terry Benedict. Danny will assemble eleven of the most skillful and greatest criminals and corrupt the biggest casino and robbery in history. This is an excellent and (dare I say) superior remake to the classic movie of same name. We’ll start with Soderbergh’s directing style. Soderbergh has proven he is a film maker of many flavors in his directing power when directing movies.

Bedazzled (2000)
A blue collared geek working at a go nowhere job makes a pact with the devil to win the woman he loves; pretty simple premise. In this, Harold Ramis (The Director) makes the devil’s incantation in the form of a beautiful woman (Elizabeth Hurley). The entire movie’s premise is whacky from the beginning. In the movie, the devil offers Brendan Fraser’s character different situations in which to win the girl he has a crush on. But, her being the devil, includes many odd different twists which screw up a typically perfect dream sequence.
Vanilla Sky (2001)
Unfortunately, this is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. One can find that hard to believe when you have a power packed cast like Tom Cruise, Kurt Russell, and Cameron Diaz along with director Cameron Crowe at the helm. To tell you what I thought of this movie while watching would be too graphic to display, but this is a painful movie to watch.
