Ghost Ship (2002): Collector’s Edition [Blu-Ray]

You could almost blame “Ghost Ship” of false advertising, as it’s a movie that almost promises to deliver a new kind of ghost movie, and then backs out after the prologue. Steve Beck’s horror movie begins on a very gnarly note with easily one of the most memorable horror movie openings of all time. Beck directs this hook brilliantly and you’d feel bad for not seeing the entire movie through. Once Steve Beck’s ghost film progresses, it’s sadly more of the same.

Body Brokers (2021)

In an industry like the American healthcare industry, sub-markets like drug rehabilitation become specialties with high price tags and high revenue. When each person becomes a dollar sign and not a patient, some will stop at almost nothing to keep bodies in their facilities beds. Body Brokers explores how this can happen and how much some can make while filling these beds with some desperate, and some not so desperate, souls.

Five More Great Minority Movie Heroes, Part IV

It’s Black History Month and we’re hoping to kick off a month of great articles and reviews celebrating Black culture in film, and pop culture. To help usher in the month, here is yet another installment of the “Minority Movie Heroes” series. As I’ve explained in the past, it’s hard to find actual heroes in film that are people of color whether African American, Latinx, Asian, et al.
