The Five Geekiest Guest Spots on “The Simpsons”

thesimpsonsgeeky2016 is just about done, thank goodness, and like last year, Fox cable channel FXX in America is hosting their “The Simpsons 600” marathon. Beginning on Thanksgiving day, they give 600 episodes of “The Simpsons” starting from episode one, and they’ve given every episode non-stop and completely uncut. This marathon has reminded me how much I adore “The Simpsons” and will always adore “The Simpsons” even when it’s at its lowest. Ninety five percent of the episodes from season one to season ten are brilliant and absolutely hysterical, while the other five percent being mediocre to forgettable episodes still end up being rather funny, offering at least two instances of chuckles here and there.

With the series nearing thirty record breaking seasons, I thought I’d fondly remember five of the best guest spots from celebrities popular among fan boys and fan girls alike. As always if you have your own choices, let me know in the comments!

With “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” coming to theaters this week, some will binge watch (or read) the Harry Potter series (which in film form is just under 20 hours without breaks) while others won’t have time.  That does not mean there’s nothing out there for those with less time to get hyped about going back into the magical world created by J.K. Rowling.

One quick search will give you hundreds of Harry Potter related videos and shorts that you can watch on You Tube.  Of course, the quality of these varies greatly from “I can’t believe this is fan made” to “I can’t believe they’re letting people watch this” which is why we went through a ton of them to bring you some of the best ones out there.

The 5 Best Times Glenn Rhee Was a Bad Ass on “The Walking Dead”

glenn-rI’m still not sure if Glenn Rhee is going to die by the dreaded barbed wire face of new villain Negan’s bat Lucille in the season seven premier, but all signs currently point to Glenn being one of the two characters that suffer the cruel fate. If Glenn Rhee does die, it’s going to leave a sad huge hole in the series as Glenn has managed to be sympathetic, charming, funny, heroic, courageous, selfless, paternal, and has sacrificed more than anyone on the series to ensure the safety of his friends and family.

The show’s casting of Steven Yeun as Glenn Rhee was genius, and Steven Yeun has done a wonderful job playing a major role in the series. It’s not too often we see Asian heroes in monster hit television series even in modern television, but Yeun has completely made his mark as one of the most lovable every day heroes of the zombie apocalypse. Here are five best times Glenn Rhee was a bad ass on “The Walking Dead.”

Nightmare Fuel: Scary Horror Shorts [Brooklyn Horror Film Festival 2016]

A child is scared of the monster in her bedroom and her father is trying to convince her there is nothing to be afraid of.  He is very, very wrong.  In director Robert Kotecki’s short film, things are not as they seem.  He takes a simple premise and twists it a couple of times.  The main twist, what makes it what it is and makes the story effective is actually unexpected and it creates an interesting story.  The second twist woks as well, however the ending kind of breaks the film for this reviewer.
