An adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name by Alan Moore, and based upon the legendary serial killer “Jack The Ripper”, inspector Frederick Abberline investigates the mysterious murders of prostitutes within the White chapel district of London. Abberline who can sense when Jack the Ripper will kill someone. So he and the British police go on a manhunt to track him down and stop his terror once and for all. If anything, “From Hell” has great atmosphere.

Texas Rangers (2001)
In yet another attempt on Hollywood’s part to re-create the incredible western genre that is rapidly dying, James Van Der Beek of “Dawson’s Creek” fame plays Lincoln Dunnison, a boy who witnessed his entire family get slaughtered by ruthless bandits, for some unknown reason. His life is spared and he now sets out to on a journey to join the famed army of the west, the “Texas Rangers”. Dylan McDermott plays the ex-leader of the famed Texas rangers who is asked to reform them because of a new threat. This bad it’s, really bad.
Shadow of the Vampire (2000)
The film starts off With F.W. Murnau filming his potential horror masterpiece “Nosferatu”. It tells how F.W. Murnau came to Bram Stoker’s wife for the rights to make “Dracula” into a movie. She rejects their offer so F.W. Murnau plays it smart. He changes the name of the movie from “Dracula” to “Nosferatu”, then he changes the name of the vampire from “Count Dracula” to “Count Orlock”. F.W. Murnau is seen as a genius to his peers and friends.
Shrek (2001)
In the movie, Mike Meyers plays Shrek, a huge green ogre who keeps to himself and lives alone in his swamp home constantly trying to be killed by angry villagers with pickforks, whom he often easily exterminates of. When the evil lord Farquaard played by John Lithgow (Third Rock from the Sun) forces fairy tale creatures off the royal lands, they take shelter in, of all places, Shrek’s swamp. Shrek, so urgent to get the creatures off his home, meets a talking donkey named… Donkey played by Eddie Murphy, and they must go to the palace to make a deal with the lord. But the lord makes a deal with Shrek, instead. He must rescue a beautiful princess named Fiona played by Cameron Diaz. Now shrek and Donkey must risk their necks, all for the sake of getting his home back once and for all.
Hearts in Atlantis (2001)
“Hearts in Atlantis” is an unique tale about a young boy named Bobby and his single mother who live by themselves. Bobby lost his father when he was a young boy and desperately seeks companionship. In moves Ted Brautigan played by Anthony Hopkins. He’s a mysterious man who opens Bobby’s eyes to friendship, the hardships of life, and love. This is a somewhat somber movie that shows it has a lot of heart. David Morse, the great character actor, is the narrator and provides the role of the adult Bobby.
The Musketeer (2001)
In yet another version of the legendary “Three Musketeers” Tale by Alexandre Dumas, D’artagnan (played by Justin Chambers), the musketeer hopeful whose father and mother were massacred in front of his eyes by the psychotic Febre (played by Tim Roth) when he was a boy, is taken in by a family friend and taught to be a musketeer. Years later, he returns for Febre and hopes to be a musketeer, a mythical army that unfortunately barely exists.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001)
Based on the smash sleeper hit children’s series written by J.K. Rowling, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” is about a baby who is dropped off at the footstep of his only living relatives (or “Muggles” as they are called by magical people) house by two strangers. He is now ten and is an outcast by his uncle and aunt who spoil their fat son. Soon, strange things begin to happen and Potter begins to wonder why. Soon enough, he is confronted by a huge man who claims Potter is a master magician who must attend the “Hogwarts school of magic and wizardry”. There, he meets Ronald Weasly and Hermoine Granger; two precocious and rambunctious wizard’s in training who instantly become Potter’s friends.
