The film and entire story manages to orchestrate under the impression of a very long episode of “The Twilight Zone”, and carefully takes its time setting up the characters which, writer Larry Fessenden (who also directs, and edits) probably knew would ultimately affect the audience in a deep way. Hardcore horror fans probably will eventually become uneasy and impatient, but I was willing to sit through the entire film, because as the story progresses, I was very engrossed. Fessenden manages to skillfully craft a story of such sophistication, that no commercial Hollywood writer would have been able to think of it. Fessenden also manages to create some truly endearing, charming, and very realistic characters that the story revolves around, and I was very captured by the essence of the family.

Jeepers Creepers (2001)

Two very (and I emphasize the word) VERY stupid kids while on the way to spring break stumble upon a cave decorated with decayed bodies next to an abandoned church , but soon they begin to discover that there’s an evil demonic force behind it. Now the demonic force is after them and will stop at nothing to get what it wants. Every once in a while in a world full of rip-offs, cookie-cutter horrors, and timid supernatural movies passing itself off as horror, a movie comes along and spreads some light on the horror genre, once again renewing my interest and faith in the horror genre. This is one of those movies.
Pitch Black (2000)
This starts off with a sequence of a woman narrating and showing the crew of the ship in their pods as they enter what looks like Saturn’s atmosphere. So for some reason they crash on the planet and much of the crew is dead, but what’s left of the crew must survive. But there’s one problem, the vicious criminal they had captive in the ship has escaped and is on the run. The crew is looking for him, but strange things start happening as they scour the planet. They discover creatures that inhabit the planet. They live in the dark. They’re safe for now because the planet has three suns… or are they?
