It’s called ACTION U.S.A. and stars Gregory Scott Cummins, William Hubbard Knight, Barri Murphy, Cameron Mitchell, William Smith and Ross Hagen. It was released in 1989 and directed by stuntman John Stewart. It was written by… Oh, who am I kidding? This movie wasn’t written. It was a teenager’s daydream that was doodled on the back of his algebra textbook during class and the filmmakers used that as a script. Seriously, this movie is bananas.

Because today is Halloween, and because I make my own rules, I’m going to take a small break from talking about bad movies today and instead review a really good one. SOLE SURVIVOR is a supernatural horror movie directed by Thom Eberhardt. A name that may be familiar to fans of NIGHT OF THE COMET, another horror movie Eberhardt directed that is the far better known of the two.

Five stories and wraparound all about Latine culture, tales, and folklore brought together by five directors. Starting with a police raid, the film brings a man found on the scene of a massive crime to the police station where he tells a few tales before things go to hell in the station itself.
Two Witches (2021)
Two intertwined stories of witches, one revolving around a pregnant girl, her partner, and two of their friends, the other revolving around roommates and witchcraft. When these two stories connect, something much larger is at play.
